With the concern for our environment comes an influx of questions regarding the source and gathering practices for the shells we supply on behalf of our resellers. We assure you that the majority of our shells are by-products of the seafood industry. They are gathered for their meat and not solely for the shells. We do NOT carry specimen shells that are endangered or threatened. This is the reason that certain shells become unavailable from time to time ... to prevent over gathering. Also, none of our shells are collected by a means called "dynamiting".
